life has been pretty fun lately... i got a 2006 toyota prius.  great car.  i have THE BEST CHURCH EVER [therocksandiego.org].  my pastor used to play football for the san diego chargers, and he is HILARIOUS.  i have found new surf spots, i bought a new surfboard the other day.  i am starting to really like los angeles [please don't tell].  i have gotten some good job offers, though i am not quite ready to leave my current job.  i don't know what else to say really... i have done a lot of traveling lately.  i went to san francisco and it's beautiful even on a very rainy day, i have gone to lake tahoe, las vegas, mexico.  and i really LOVE traveling.  i hope you guys don't think i'm being braggy or whatever, i have to use all of these things to remind me why i AM here.

welllllllll, i am really starting to like it out here... now that my year contract is almost up.  i'm not sure what i'm going to do afterwards, because i CAN stay longer if i want, but i'm not sure if i have to do another year contract or something.  and i really would like to act, and i have my resume and some other stuff on some casting websites [but they are pretty lame].  i met an actress the other day.  she used to play on the t.v. show "cheers" and some other stuff [cheers is the only thing i remember].  and she wrote and musical comedy and is looking for actors so i have been talking to her about it... hopefully she'll cast me into--at least-- a small role.  i've honestly quite a little bit of experience acting, but i didn't realize it until i started making up resumes.  i started acting BEFORE middle school.  and i acted in middle school at acting competitions.  i did musicals in high school, and i was in theatre classes in college.  i think i did the least amount of acting in college, but i think that is because i wanted to be "serious" and actually have a degree i "could use".  not saying that i haven't always been supported in acting-- well i haven't by ALL of my parents and friends-- but pretty much just trying to be realistic.  i guess i thought, ummm. i live in the midwest.  not exaaaactly the biggest movie producing area of the united states.  [this is some of my staff (cindy, jen, me, amanda, anna)]

hopefully you have a better idea of what i'm doing out here... no work, all play. yeeeeeah right.

also MY STEPDAD GOT ARRESTED AND IS HOPEFULLY GOING TO PRISON... for things that he used to do to me.  i won't get into details, but i am pretty happy.  and a lot of people have said that it's hard to get your voice back, if you ever do.  i think i have... for the most part. 

soooooooooo, got in a car wreck, went to the hospital, got a catscan, got a boxer's fracture [broke my hand], got a call saying my passat that was towed away has been deemed a total loss.

i think i'm going to try to get a honda element now.

so i've been surfing almost everyday lately.  i'm not very good, but i will be.

and this is why: you are supposed to learn on a longboard... i, however, opted for a shortboard right away to start on. [mostly because i bought my board at a swapmeet and it was really nice and i talked the men all the way down to $60.  don't worry, i didn't show them my beautiful silky legs or anything...]  so yes, this will lead to me being so pro.  i'm sure i'm headed for surfing tournaments in hawaii.

i'm working nights tonight, which means i start work in 15 minutes.  i used to love nights, but now it sort of sucks.  i have to do evaluations and grading and all that and i hate grading.  but then i watch some movies on my little portable dvd player and do a few bed checks... so maybe it is great.  i'm watching a full season of scrubs tonight.

well, i miss the midwest for sure and the leaves and all that stuff. i really miss my brosef and my best friend. buuut i'm starting to like it out here. i actually got a scar from climbing a palm tree. well that was just a sidenote. okay. i still hate los angeles though.  but i think everyone down here does. except for my coworkers that live there. yeaaah okay. bye.

and perhaps i am biased because the beatles are my favorite band... but then again, that fact did make me more critical of the movie in the first place i think.

i wanted to see it the night it came out and i went to six different theatres in san diego county to try to watch it. they said it was playing no where in san diego county, BUT i finally found one today and i paid $8.50 for a three o'clock show, but it was worth it.  i had goosebumps 3/4 of the movie.

it was verrrrryyyyyyy creative. and pretty. and dark. and trippy. and there is no way you can beat the soundtrack of all beatles songs.  and also, bono plays doctor robert.
